Shipping & Delivery Policy
Welcome to Covalent Tools. We are committed to delivering your tools and equipment safely, efficiently, and as quickly as possible.
To ensure a smooth delivery experience, we partner with The Courier Guy, one of South Africa’s leading and most reliable courier networks.
Please review our delivery policy below to understand how your order will be processed and shipped.
1. Delivery Areas & Rates
Nationwide Delivery: We deliver to physical addresses across South Africa, including major metropolitan areas, regional towns, and outlying/rural areas.Delivery Fees: Shipping fees are calculated at checkout based on the weight, dimensions of your order, and your delivery address.
P.O. Boxes: Please note that The Courier Guy cannot deliver to P.O. Boxes. A physical street address where someone is available to sign for the parcel during working hours must be provided.
2. Processing & Dispatch Times
Order Processing: Orders are processed Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays.Dispatch: Once payment has cleared in our account, orders are typically packed and dispatched within 1 to 2 business days. If you pay via EFT, dispatch will occur once the funds reflect in our bank account.
3. Estimated Delivery Timeframes
Once your order has been handed over to The Courier Guy, estimated delivery times are as follows:Major Metropolitan Hubs (e.g., Johannesburg, Pretoria, Cape Town, Durban): 1 – 3 business days.
Regional & Outlying Areas: 3 – 5 business days.
Note: While we and The Courier Guy strive to meet these timeframes, deliveries may occasionally be delayed due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., severe weather, road closures, or high-volume peak seasons like Black Friday and Christmas).
4. Tracking Your Order
As soon as your order is dispatched, we will send you a confirmation email containing your The Courier Guy tracking number and a link to track your parcel. You can monitor your delivery directly on The Courier Guy’s tracking portal.5. Delivery Process & Receipt
Delivery Hours: Couriers deliver during standard business hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 17:00.Signing for Delivery: Because our products include high-quality tools, all deliveries require a signature upon receipt. Please ensure that you, or a designated person (like a receptionist, security guard, or family member), are available at the specified address to receive the parcel.
Failed Delivery Attempts: If no one is available to receive the package, The Courier Guy will attempt to contact you to arrange an alternative time or will attempt redelivery the following business day. Repeated failed attempts may result in the parcel being returned to us, and additional shipping charges may apply to re-send it.
6. Damaged or Incomplete Shipments
We take great care in packaging your tools securely. However, if your parcel arrives visibly damaged or tampered with:Check the Goods: Inspect the packaging before signing the courier’s waybill.
Note the Damage: If the box is damaged, please note this clearly on the courier’s digital device or paper waybill next to your signature.
Contact Us: Report the damage or any missing items to Covalent Tools within 24 hours of delivery at [info@covalenttools.co.za] preferably with photos of the damaged packaging/goods, so we can lodge a claim with the courier and resolve the issue for you immediately.
